Which of these is more cost effective, telemarketing or email marketing?
Hey Jordan,
Great quiz! I only missed the question on transactional messages, which is debatable in my mind. Transactional messages are covered under CAN SPAM and are regulated and monitored even if they are exempt from commercial mailing requirements. That’s just my argument though
. All the other questions are great!

Kelly – I agree. Transactional Messages are debatable and are not 100% clear in CAN-SPAM. For example, is an unsub a transaction? Some say yes – some say no.
Marvin – As far as what is not cost effective telemarketing or email marketing depends on what you are selling, how much profit you make from it, what you are paying for email marketing or phone numbers, and what works for you. The short answer is that email is more cost effective. But if you are selling a 10 million dollar airplane (for example) calling the right buyer might be a better idea than sending an email marketing message
